All the museums in Paris are free every first Sunday of the month. Yesterday, we took advantage of it and visited the Modern Art Museum (Pompidou Centre or Beaubourg Centre). I have to admit that the first time I looked at the building’s architecture I thought it was odd and it is indeed very unusual but now I have changed my mind to the point that I was photographing the structure more than the art exhibited.

My advice is to start the tour with the permanent collection on the fifth level and then move to the fourth one for the temporary works and recent acquisitions. Personally, I prefer to see what I like the most, in this case Miró, Picasso, Dalí, Kandinsky, Chagall and Modigliani. The galleries are opened until 21:00 so we caught an spectacular pink sunset on the fifth level terrace.

On the sixth floor there is a bar/restaurant with a fancy indoors and patio decoration. I stood there for a few seconds to take a couple of pictures.
