So everybody, pack up your snowmobile and dust off your bike! Today it is the first day of Spring! Walking around this afternoon I did not see a first sign of the beginning season, it was cold and windy, but the end of the month is giving me hope. 🙂
Yes, I say it again, I am not built for winter. I am weak. I am not constructed for tough weather. I am all butterflies, warmth and sandals.
Now that we moved our clocks forward and we get more daylight in the afternoon my mind has started to function in so many optimistic ways. Soon, in the distance, I will be seeing trees with green leaves outside my window.
This year I will not miss the spring in Toronto. Almost every year I travel to Havana in April for a few weeks and I do not get to see the transition of colours in the nature, patio openings and people starting to crowd the parks during lunchtime in the search of the much needed sunlight. I always return to a complete reborn city.
Yesterday I started a Spring cleaning. I have decided to reduce the volumes of unnecessary clothing, accessories, shoes and papers collected over the last two years or possibly more.
I am also planning on preparing a Spring – Summer Mix list of all the  awesome tunes I have been listening to lately and that I will also be playing during Spring – Summer trips, picnics or gatherings. (Example: Florence + The Machine, Fleet Foxes, Vetusta Morla, Broken Bells, Cage the Elephant….)
Excitement everywhere!
